December 6, 2024: Owl Tour No. 49

Friday evening public group tour with Stephane, Kristen, Mike Hodges, Ahn and Shekhar. Not sure why, but nfortunately I did not take any pictures of our participants.

We saw Norma the female barn owl, a burrowing owl then for the finale, we watched a Western Screech Owl come out of its tree hole, land on a nearby tree then land on a neighbor's roof. One of the best WSO experiences I've had. Overall, it was a fun evening.

This is one of the best Western Screech Owl images I've ever taken of a WSO out of their tree hole.

Took the owl tour with Rick and it was awesome! Rick is a great photographer and had excellent information about the owl locations, habitat and the owls themselves. He was very friendly and even drives a few of his guests in his car! I would definitely go on another tour and would highly recommend his tours.
