Time for new photo equipment for modern bird photography

I realized I needed a better lens to get further reach so I bought the Nikon 500mm f5.6 pf lens. So now I had better reach but the auto focus of my old Nikon D700 did not respond all that well with the newer 500mm lens and I wanted sharper images so I bought the Nikon D850 DSLR.

Now that I was equipped with the proper equipment, I started going on many bird excursions in the Bay Area. I discovered Ed R. Levin Park and Sandy Wool Lake in Milpitas and also went to the Stanford Dish and the Palo Alto Baylands and Bixbee Park. I drove down to Santa Cruz to visit the UC Santa Cruz Arboretum and drove to San Francisco to visit the SF Botanical Garden and Coyote Hills in Fremont
