One of my very kind neighbors reached out to me to alert me of a Chestnut-backed Chickadee nest in the mouth of her ceramic sun art piece hanging on the wall of her front porch.

It was a busy weekend and I came down with a cold Sunday night so I told her maybe I'll come over Tuesday or Wednesday but she told me the baby birds may be gone by then.

So late Monday morning I decided to drive a few miles over there and sure enough the mama and maybe daddy were bringing food, insects and what looked like flower pieces? to the chicks.

I took a bunch of shots at a distance with my 500mm f5.6 lens. The porch was in full shade with a lot of trees surrounding it so there wasn't a lot of available light and at the distance I was at with f5.6, the depth of field was very shallow but I did my best to get some decent shots.
