March 7, 2024 - UC Santa Cruz Arboretum Birding Trip

One of the best places to see hummingbirds is the UC Santa Cruz Arboretum. It's about a 50 minute drive from my house in the Bay Area but well worth the drive!

This time I was accompanied by my friend Richard and it was an epic day at the Arboretum in Santa Cruz. it was raining like crazy on the peninsula but not in Santa Cruz. Lots of active hummers feeding and fighting over the Grevillea Ruby Clusters.

This guy must have been the welcoming committee as he was the first one we met and showed us his full gorget.
