At the beginning of this year, one of my local Menlo Park neighbors reached out to me saying she has enjoyed seeing my bird photos in the InMenlo online publication and on Nextdoor.


She said she co-chairs a philanthropic group of Girl Scout adult volunteers whose girls have graduated and that they donate money and time to support Girl Scouts of Northern California and especially for girls living in low-income areas in our local community.


She said they also do some social/learning activities each year and would I be interested in leading them on a local birding walk.


And of course, I was happy to oblige so we set a date for June 2nd and had a very nice time and here are some pics from our walk:
